Privacy Guidelines

User privacy and data protection are of the highest priority when delivering our services. Therefore we are committed to complying with the applicable laws and regulations for the countries we operate in. This document is aimed to support our advertiser clients in their compliance journey.

What information to share

Advertiser clients using our services need to share certain information with their users. This information needs to be shared with all users that visit your website. The information that needs to be shared will slightly differ from country to country. The following guidelines are specifically aimed at websites that target the European market. However we advise you to always review this information with your lawyers.

  • The identity of Swayer.io Limited
  • The purposes of the data processing

  • How the user can give or refuse consent
Usually this can be achieved by providing choices in your cookie consent tool.
  • The consequences of the given consent
If consent is given, the user will benefit from relevant, interest-based advertising. If consent is refused to be give, the user will not benefit from personalised online advertising.
  • How the user can withdraw his consent
You should offer information about how the user can withdraw previously given consent. For our services consent can be withdrawn through our opt-out page: https://swayer.io/optout/

How to share this information

The information needs to be accessible for the user when offered the option to give or refuse to give cookie consent. This needs to be clearly visible and is usually provided through a cookie consent modal or banner. The information can be provided using a layered approach. This involves directly sharing key information together with links to more detailed information.

The detailed information should be accessible at all times at a permanent location. For example in your ‘Cookie Policy’ or ‘Privacy Policy’.

Privacy Template

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
You should always review changes to your site’s terms & privacy policy with your legal team or lawyers. To help you we created a template that we suggest you include to your privacy policy in order to account for using our services.

Use of Swayer.io Services: We use third-party advertising services to promote our products and services. In particular, we provide a limited amount of fully pseudonymised data of your browsing behavior (for example which pages you visited, how much time you spent on a page and which products you added to your online shopping cart) to Swayer.io Limited (“Swayer.io”) and utilize their services to show more relevant, interest-based ads to you or other people that are most likely to be interested in them. As a data processor acting on our behalf, Swayer.io analyzes the way you use our website and uses pseudonymous advertising identifiers to recognize your device or browser, but not you directly. Pseudonymisation means that different attributes from your device or browser are ‘digitally scrambled’ to create a string that is unique and always the same for this combination of attributes, but otherwise meaningless. Swayer.io offers the possibility to withdraw your consent to all Swayer.io services by “opting-out” of their use of pseudonymous advertising identifiers. To do so, follow the steps described on this page https://swayer.io/optout/.
